In order to face the challenges that are in front of us the holistic approach is absolutely essential. An opening to the understanding of how education works and how it should work, how the system of rewards and punishment acts , how competition is acting in our society and what motivates us is crucial so as to become functional, happy and effective in adapting to a new reality. So we need to be humble and be ready to mean new things. This shows again and again that a different world , a relocalized, post-fossil fuel world will not be a “going back” : it will need and profit from the high level of knowledge we have achieved. We just have to be humble and trustful enough to use it.
